Our Story
Welcome to Roots of Liberty Farm.
We believe that healthy families begin with healthy food, and healthy food begins with healthy soil. Everything we do is guided by a simple philosophy: steward the land well, raise livestock with care and dignity, and leave both better than we found them.
Our farm specializes in heritage and moderate-frame livestock chosen not only for their productivity, but for their hardiness, efficiency, gentle temperaments, and ability to thrive on pasture. We believe these qualities make them well suited for families, homesteaders, and anyone seeking a more resilient and self-reliant way of producing food.
Whether you're looking for breeding stock, learning about regenerative agriculture, or simply curious about a different approach to farming, we're glad you're here.

Roots Of Liberty Farm is proudly owned and operated by Jennifer and Shane. Jennifer's hands-on care and daily interaction with our animals help shape the calm, gentle temperaments we've come to value, while Shane focuses on regenerative grazing, breeding, and building a farm guided by enduring principles. Together, we hope not only to raise healthy livestock, but to inspire more families to reconnect with their food, their land, and the skills that make both possible.
Nestled in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, we raise Dexter cattle, Shetland sheep, and Black French Copper Marans. Together, we're building more than a livestock operation. We're cultivating a farm rooted in stewardship, personal responsibility, and the belief that food should nourish both people and the land that produces it.
